Two Chefs Brewing started in 2012 with the desire to completely stock our homes with home made funky beers and we haven’t stopped brewing since. We always aim to provoke the conventional and we like to stick out our tongue to the familiar.

    Rosalien Derkinderen will help us getting things organised and structured. On top of that she’s a great photographer, so we’ll get some solid team photo’s as well. Bonus!

    Last year we brewed a bock beer with a Dutch Delicacy: biscuits called bokkenpootjes. A cookie with almonds, chocolate and vanille.

    Since it was quite a succes we decided to brew it again and enhance the recipe a little bit. And with a recipe upgrade comes a label upgrade. From boring brown to red autumn fresh.

    It’s time! After several months of trying, testing and perfecting, we officially open Bar Alt’s doors to everyone. At Bar Alt, the world of fine dining in the high segment and craft beer comes together.

    Bar Alt is a concept unique to the Netherlands and is inspired by the latest developments in the European Beer Belt and gastronomy worldwide. Have a look at some pictures.

    The crazy guys from Ter Marsch and Co wanted a crazy beer to accompany their crazy burgers. Well, they came to the right crazy address.

    After tasting, more tasting and a little more tasting we knew what we wanted: A crazy beer, with a crazy ingredient and a crazy name. We landed on a Smokey Rye IPA called Crazy Daisy. Now go find out for yourself if it’s a crazy good beer. And you know what they say, it’s better to be crazy than to be insane.

    A beer in a big bottle has to be something really special. Not to patch our back or anything like that, but this Brett Saison really resulted in a beautiful complex beer.

    To get the flavour it has we added almost everything you can imagine. Strawberries, pink pepper, orange zest, raspberries just to name a few. Cheers.

    At the end of 2017 an unexpected friendship between Jameson Irish Whiskey and Two Chefs Brewing arose. And in November of last year the Jameson Caskmates was launched in our brewery. After this, Jameson donated a dozen barrels to us so we could mature some beer in them.

    Now it’s finally time. The Rye India Pale Ale, which we brewed at the end of January, has now matured for over four months in Jameson Irish Whiskey casks and has since been filled and renamed the Mickey Almighty.

    Sometimes, you find yourself in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes, in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself and sometimes, you find me, the Acid Drop. A slightly sour Berliner Weisse with Blueberry and Vanilla.

    An absolutely perfect beer to usher in the summer. With only 3.6% in alcohol, fruity notes from the blueberry and silky smoothness from the vanilla, this Weisse is approachable for everyone, even if you’re not a big beer lover.

    IP-YAY! Finally we’re able to share with you some new serious flavour(s). We’ve reincarnated the Fruitcake and brought him back as two brothers: a White ánd a Black IPA, both with raspberries. The third one is a Double IPA with seawater.

    look out for these fresh babies in your local bar, supermarket or night shop. They’re pretty limited, so you better be quick!

    For the second time we hosted a dinner with the nice folks from restaurant Jacobsz. This time in our own brewery amidst the brewhouse and the fermentation tanks.

    Cocktail Professor prepared a perfect welcoming cocktail, Mother earth provided the best lighting and temperature, and Daniëlle Reizevoort shot some beautiful photos.

    Two chefs Brewing go back to their sandy roots. Before the brewing started we worked the beaches with the same beach bums who now run beachrestaurant Hippie Fish.

    We collaborated to create a beachy brew for those who love sand in their hair and salt on their skin. Hippie Fish is a fruity, fresh and not at all fishy beer for the thirsty seaside-regulars on an endless summer day. YEOW!

    When you throw an opening party, you just have to brew a special beer for it. And so we did. A special-T beer if you will.

    Our brewmaster made a perfect tea beer and as an homage to him, we put him on the label and named the beer after him.

    Now that we get to brew ourselves, we thought it would be the right time to upgrade our identity too. Don’t worry though, you’ll still recognise us as Two Chefs, we’ve just spiced things up a little.

    Our new Designers Chris and Sander from zender.nu have translated our thoughts in a truly cohesive design. We hope you like it as much as we do.

    Hop-hop-hop! It is brewing time. Finally, after weeks of hard work and testing our muscles, we are happy to say that the renovation at the new Two Chefs Brewery is almost finished. We are brewing beer.

    Last week we put the hops in and today we are tasting the first brew. We are very excited and can’t wait to share the beers with you. But until then, check your local tap and have a sip of Funky Falcon, or maybe a Dirty Katarina? Don’t worry we won’t tell.

    3-2-1 liftoff! Visiting other planets and galaxies. Together with Space Beers we created an out-of-space Rye Pale Ale called Space Monkey. And he’s packed with some serious flavours.

    Together with the nice folks from restaurant Jacobsz we hosted a diner combining and pairing our beers with their fine cuisine with a bunch of Japanese influences.

    Night Out in Japan is the first of many nights we will host together. We can’t wait to host the next night out. Which theme shall we choose? Mexico, Brazil or Indonesia? Check the video.

    Prior to coming to Amsterdam our brewmaster from Germany brewed at Brewdog in Aberdeen Scotland as an advanced brewer.

    The time has finally come. We’ve moved to our new location at the Moezelhavenweg 6 in the Amsterdam Westelijk Havengebied. 1600 square meters of Serious Flavour.

    We’ve been working hard for four years to accomplish this, but it really seems that we’re only starting now. What a ride it’s been and what a rollercoaster is to come!

    The summer asks for a light, drinkable, yet tasty beer, so we created a Wit with notes of coriander seed, lime leaf and cardamom. With only 5% a perfect beer for a perfect summer day on a perfect terrace.

    The White Mamba is the ninth addition of the family and has really made our steady range complete. But don’t worry, there’ll be many more types and flavours to come.

    It was time to separate the boys from the men. We wanted our own brewery, but we needed a way to finance it. A crowdfunding campaign seemed like the most logical step.

    After a mere one and a half month of crowdfunding we exceeded our goal and managed to crowdfund 300k. Thanks investors! Things are suddenly becoming very real.

    More beers, more clients, more people. If the production keeps multiplying, the team must grow too so in early 2016 we decided to take on two more hands to help grow the company and the brand.

    In 2015 we were still growing and in need of a helping hand. One of our close friends, Ralph presented himself to be a perfect match.

    Not only did Ralph become the first employee of Two Chefs Brewing but he became an instant ambassador with a beer named after him; Tropical Ralphie. And he’s living the brand ever since.

    The beer recipes and bottles started piling up and this forced us to move, so we relocated to a little warehouse in Amsterdam-Noord.

    More types and flavours were added to the menu and the name started to grow in and around the capitol. Soon enough Two Chefs Brewing poured out of many hotel, cafe and restaurant establishments.

    We, Sanne and Martijn, both former chefs and working for corporate businesses, started brewing beer in 2012 with the desire to completely stock our homes with home made funky beers.

    In 2013 we decided to both quit our boring jobs to turn our hobby into a somewhat serious beer brand. Two Chefs Brewing was born and the world of brewing, tasting and drinking ignited.
