This hop-forward IPA is infused with the herbal qualities of tea. It has a smooth and citrussy character thanks a tasteful blend of Amarillo, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin hops and the addition of Earl Grey tea. Five grams per liter of Earl Grey were added during fermentation. Steeping the tea gave this IPA some of the tannins and bergamot from the Earl Grey. The tannins emulate the bitterness in hops, while the strong citrus notes from the bergamot beautifully complement floral features and intense aromas of citrus fruits like oranges and grapefruit from the mix of Amarillo, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin hops.
